Barbara Tria is a Broker-Associate with Kerdyk Real Estate in Coral Gables, Florida. She joined the well-known firm in 1995 and now has over twenty years of experience in commercial real estate in both North Carolina and South Florida. Barbara has specialized in Coral Gables/South Miami commercial real estate for the past fifteen years. Her areas of expertise are in leasing and purchase/sale of retail and office properties for investors, developers and owner-occupants. Recent office sale transactions include the disposition of 141 Sevilla Avenue, Coral Gables for TD Bank NA and the sale of 3300 Ponce de Leon Blvd., Coral Gables with subsequent relocation of the Seller’s offices to the penthouse floor of 4000 Ponce de Leon Blvd., Coral Gables. Recent retail transactions include her representation of the buyer of 321-329 Miracle Mile and subsequent negotiation with Darden Restaurant group to ground lease the site for Coral Gables’ first Season’s 52 restaurant; negotiating the 10,000sf ground lease of 2416-2440 Ponce de Leon Blvd. for the landlord where Bricktops Restaurant opened for business in June 2013; representation of the Landlord in the leasing of 5734 Sunset Drive to Lululemon Athletica; representing the Landlord in leasing the former Les Halles restaurant space to 50 Eggs Group that opened SWINE Southern Table & Bar in Fall 2012, sister restaurant to award-winning Yardbird Southern Table & Bar.

An active member of CREW Miami since 1995, Barbara served her third year as a Board Member of CREW Miami during 2007-08, and in 2012 chaired the Silent Auction for CREW Miami’s fundraiser “Cocktails Community & Connections” more than doubling the silent auction revenue from the previous high benchmark. At CREW Miami’s 2012 Award Ceremony Barbara won the “Unsung Hero Award”. In 2013 she Co-Chaired this fundraising event for CREW Miami which netted over $40,000. In addition, Barbara is in her fourth year of service as Director of the Realtor Commercial Alliance of Miami Realtors and will serve as President-Elect of the Realtor Commercial Alliance in 2014. In 2012, she was recognized by her RCA peers as Commercial Realtor of the Year. She is also a member of the International Council of Shopping Centers (ICSC). Barbara is a volunteer for Fairchild Tropical Botanic Garden having served as Silent Auction Chair for Fairchild’s annual Gala from 2004-2009 and has been an advisor to The Fairchild Challenge, an educational outreach program with international impact.

Barbara received her BA degree from Binghamton University in 1983 where she majored in English and Music and served as Principal Cellist of the University Orchestra and String Ensemble all four years. She also played professionally with The Tri-Cities Opera Orchestra and the Binghamton Pops Orchestra. Further, she completed the “Managing the Arts” Executive Program at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill in 1986.
